Interested in commissioning me?
Whether you're a business looking for commercial work, or a fan of my art looking for a custom piece for yourself - I'm more than happy to bring your ideas to life!
Check out the FAQ below for general details, and if you would like to know any more information, even if it's just to get a pricing quote for future reference, feel free to fill in the form at the bottom of this page and I'll get back to you.

I'll outline a brief summary of how the typical one-off commission works with me: here
1. You email me with details on what artworks you need; your ideas, reference images, deadlines, etc. and I'll let you know if I think the project is a good fit for me. If I choose to work on the project I'll let you know how soon I'll be available to work on it, and give you a rough pricing estimate so you can see if it's in your budget.
2. After some more back and forth on finer details to make sure we're on the same page with everything, I'll send you an invoice with a final quote to pay upfront, along with a commission e-contract to sign. Don't worry - this contract includes a refund policy in the event of any changing circumstances during the project While this is typically how I handle payments for one-off projects, other payment arrangements can be negotiated if required, such as payment plans for example.
3. I'll get to work on some rough thumbnails for you to choose from, this can help us get the overall composition and design down before focusing on the final details. Once we've came to a composition that you're happy with, we move onto the sketch.
4. For the sketching phase I'll draw in all of the finer details of the work before rendering, and cross-check the final sketch with you to make sure it's looking okay. We might also go over colour palettes together and any other aspects of the artwork that need to be decided on at this stage.
5. Once the final sketch is approved I'll get to rendering, sending some progress emails as I go to make sure everything is looking okay. (Note: "rendering" is artist jargon for when I'm adding all of the colours and shading to the piece, it's usually the longest part of the process.)
6. The artwork is finished! I'll send you the full resolution files in whatever format you need, and if it's a traditional piece, send you the physical artwork in the post.
I know emailing for quotes can be a bother, but it is the best way to get an accurate price due to the numerous parameters involved, especially for commercial projects as licensing also needs to be taken into account. But I know it can be intimidating for some people to ask - so I'd say that the vast majority of smaller, personal commissions are in the ballpark of £150 - £500 (GBP) depending on the size and complexity.
I do try my best to not price fans of my work out of commissioning me, so feel free to email me with a budget and I'll see if there's any way to make it more affordable! Sometimes switching the size or medium of a piece can make it quicker/cheaper to produce on my end, thus lowering the cost - just please keep in mind that I still need to make a living like everyone else and can't work for free :)
You can check out my gallery to get a good idea of what kind of work I usually do, and my gallery of previous client work can be found here - but I'm open to new things! While I'm first and foremost an illustrator, I'm happy to do adjacent work such as concept art and product design for the right project.
Typical projects I'm a good fit for:
Album and book covers
Box art
Video game and board game illustration
Character illustrations
Twitch graphics
Promotional merchandise design (stickers, keyrings, mousepads, etc.)
Editorial illustrations
Custom wall art
and yes, pet portraits 😺
I don't really do:
General graphic design and branding (I recommend hiring both an illustrator and a graphic designer for anything that needs solid branding to finish off the project, as they're two different skill sets)
Web design
3D work
Animation
Vector
Yes! With the exception of any territories that have shipping restrictions from the UK - you can check with my shipping provider here.
I do offer licensing for some artworks, email me at info@cosmoskitty.com to enquire.
